Second Crack
Sometimes, even the best-laid plans need to take a breather. Second Crack was my passion project, born out of a love for coffee and a desire to create high-end, thoughtfully designed coffee equipment. It wasn’t just about brewing better coffee; it was about bringing the craftsmanship and precision that coffee lovers deserve to every step of the process.
I spent countless hours designing, modeling, and engineering each product. From the initial sketches to the final 3D models, I obsessed over every detail, ensuring that each piece felt as good as it functioned. I developed the identity, packaging, and everything from concept through to mechanicals. I wanted it to feel elevated, yet approachable—something that stood out on the shelf but felt right at home on the kitchen counter.
But as with any ambitious project, reality sometimes kicks in. In the end, I couldn’t secure the right funding to make it viable. And that’s okay. While I had to put Second Crack on hold, it's far from over. I’m currently reworking the business plan, and I’m confident the next iteration will be even stronger.
For now, the dream is paused—but it’s not over. Sometimes, you need to let things percolate a little longer before they’re ready to pour.
